Final brainstorm

My partner: Conghui Chen(Claire)

        For the final project, I want to describe the life of egg by using the camera. I always think although some things don’t have life or cannot express the feeling, I can help them to express through the human imagination.
        So, I think I can use my imagination to express those things feeling. In addition, because of my interesting, I chose the food as my target. Eggs which are common food for our breakfast, but we don’t pay a lot of attention for it. If we don’t eat them, maybe they will become poult.
        However, we cooked them. So, I will record the process which my partner cook eggs step by step, and then using the PS and other tools to express the eggs feeling, for example, painting expression on the egg, using music or scene.  That is an amazing trip which is from the raw eggs to the fried egg.

       In this semester, I think the biggest failure of me is the Micro Project 4. My idea of micro project 4 is Chinese classical music mix with the western music. This also like Chinese student enter the western world. Although I like my idea and my friend played very well, I didn’t change the sound enough by the software. So, it is not well express my thoughts. I think the biggest reason is that I don’t have a good understanding of western music type and I don’t understand the word meaning which in the software very well. In this failure, I think I need to improve my skill of changing video by the imovie, and then need to learn more about the western instrument so that I can mix them very well. However, in this semester, I think my Micro Project 5 is my biggest success. In this project, I learn that I can personify different things and express different effect. So, through different fingers, I express different result of death. At the same time, I also express the word of splash and grasp. I think if give me more time, I will find more death ways to express those more clearly and better. Second, I learn that how to mix the three-dimensional form with the two-dimensional form. That is pretty cool! Well, if I could redo one project, I will choose the Micro Project 4. I think I can put more strong and typical modern music into my classical music project. Second, I will change the video by the imovie. Using the pictures of the magic can better express the result of mixing. Third, if I have more time, I will add the piano sound into it. I think the piano is the representative of western music. So, if mix the piano sound and classical sound together, we will feel different feeling than before.

1. Begin by brainstorming what your action word means.  What limitations does it present?  What opportunities does it present?

First, my word are splash and grasp.
1. splash: this word has a lot of meaning, and I think some of meaning are belong to this picture. First, a prominent or sensational but short-lived news event. Second, a small quantity of something moist or liquid. Third, the act of splashing a (liquid) substance on a surface. Forth, the act of scattering liquid about haphazardly.
2. grasp: the meaning which is the act of grasping is belong to this picture.
Second: the limitations.
1. I think there have a big limitation is this is a static image and maybe not enough express those word dynamical, but, I think the static image also can express those word through different and novel ways.
Third: what What opportunities does it present?
1. I think that in the real life, people die in many different kinds of ways. Different fingers can experience different ways of death. 
        2. Pick an object/item that you use on almost a day-to-day basis that you don’t give much thought to.  What is that object?

My object are five fingers of one hand. 

        3. the process 

for my process, I will use the picture and some word to describe it.

1. First, the thumb. The death of thumb express the word of grasp. the rope rein in the thumb. I used the black pen paint the expression on the thumb. You can see that it has a long tongue. Second, I paint the scene on the paper. Then, using the camera to record it. 

2. The index finger. This finger is death of stabbed, and this picture is belong to splash. First, I put the expression on my index finger which is very painful, then you will find that this picture have a connection between the finger and the paper. the paper and the finger need mix very well. The blood is splashed. 

3. The middle finger. This picture also express the word of splash. And it is a car accident! using the same way paint the expression and the scene on the finger and the paper. the blood express the splash very well. 

4. The ring finger. This picture is my favorite one, and this one also is my first painting of this work. With the sound of "bang", the finger is shot by the gun. Wow....Do you see the blood? splash everywhere. It must be very pain! I think its expression is very vivid.  

5. The little finger. this finger is not belong to me. Because the hole which on the paper is too small, so I only use my friend finger to take the picture. This picture express the death of crushed, and, you can see the blood is splashed everywhere! ''pump'' is the sound of this picture. 

            4. Write a statement explaining the object/item you chose, why you chose it, what word you had and the process that went into making your final piece.  Additionally, post a word document of your final statement on Carmen.

At the beginning, I did not know how to express those words. But, when I looked down, I saw my fingers. I remember that when my finger was injured, the blood was splashed. So, I think i can use finger to express the death of different ways. And It also change the finger original ways. So, i thought five ways of death according different fingers. But, the same point is those ways also express the splash or the grasp. The process, I already express above. For the final project, I use the photoshop to make the all picture together and clip them. The different fates of five fingers are expressed very well by the photoshop. My topic is the hand, so the background  is also the hand. and the black and red colors emphasize the visual effect.

MP3-Process

     In this project, first, I took 9 pictures about the objects which I need them and bring them every day. Second put them in the photo-shop.

     In my picture, you can see a big bag. And then, I use the perspective effect to perform the objects which I carry every day. First, shearing the picture is not a simple engineering. I spent a lot of time to shear the bag and other things. It is great that through my efforts, I got the pictures which I was satisfied. Second, according to the size and shape of objects, chose some objects in front and the others in the back. Third, you can find that all objects are proportional. You can see the states of objects which close to the true states when all objects in the bag. There has one regret thing that the computer should not be opened in the bag. But because I want to better and directly perform the computer, I used the opened computer. I thought if I use the closed computer Its was not easily be distinguished. Generally speaking, I think layer of bag is the nicest work than others. 
On the top of my bag, there has a red little thing. Do you know what is that? It is a little red shoe. I really love this shoe when I first saw it in Orlando! I spend $10 to buy it! Although it is really expensive, I feel it can bring luck for me! There also has one thing which you can't see in this picture, on the back of this bag, using the different color knits, I knit my name on the surface！In this way, I want to express that this is my special bag!

New MP3 brainstorming

 1. My  bag-This is a magic box for me. It almost can satisfy any of my need. For example, I usually go to the central class room, and there have a lot of snacks and stationery which are my favour. Thus, I feel very convenient by using this bag, because it can hold a lot of things. Taking snacks home is absolute a joyful. Surely, It is the most important tool when I am studying in the OSU. As long as I carry bag, I will have a strong sense of security.

2. lab-top-As we know, nowadays, the laptop is really important for a young people. I choose this object because I really cannot get away from it!. I need it to do all homework and search information from the internet. As you know, there have a lot of APPLE fans in china. So, having a APPLE laptop is my dream. My favorite is its light of  keyboard. That is awesome because it make me feel magic.  In addition, It can bring a lot of fun to me! I love it!

 3. My pen bag-I like stationery. they are small but very beautiful. It is made by Korea, and the beautiful flowers which are on the surface give me a kind of pure and fresh sense. They accompany me everyday in studying life. they bring me in a good mood and let me meet the challenge of studying in a relaxed happy environment.

 4. water-As we know, water is the most important thing for living! I like to drink water. So every day, I need a lot of water. In addition, First, I don not like the water of water function whose water have a terrible smell. Second, my Chinese doctor asked me that I shouldn't drink mineral water and I need drink the distilled water which are good for my health. After every class, drinking this water is my first thing! Thus, I always buy the smart water in the market and bring one bottle every day.

 5. Key-Only using the key, I can enter my dorm. Without it, I maybe sleep on the street. So, I need being the key every day. In addition, I also need to protect it and avoid it losing.

5. Folder-This is also the main tool for my studying life. It has a lot of sandwich which can hold a lot of papers and important information.  It give me a big help me to gather all the important paper material of all my classes.I usually put my Chem and Bio paper and exam into this  folder. Through it, I can easy control lots of thing of studying.In addition, I love pink! I love flowers, so its beautiful surface give me a happy mood! 

 6. snacks-First, I like snacks. it is so sweet! as we know, the sweet things can make people happy. Thus, I think it have a big influence for my mood! Because I feel a huge stress every day, the sweet snacks can alter my mood, and give me power to achieve my goal! Second, because my study schedule. I don not have enough time to have lunch. this snack is very delicious! I love chocolate flavor.

7. phone-I cannot live without the phone. I like communicating with friends. Thus, the phone is a bridge to connect me and my friends. Second, this is a smartphone. When my computer is no electricity power, I can use my phone to access the internet. Third, there have a lot of games in the iTunes, and I can download to my phone. I usually love those games, when I have free time, I can relax myself through playing this game. My favorite game is Temple Run!

8. notebook-I like taking notes, so the notebook is very necessary for me. This notebook have a lot of important information about my chemistry and biology classes. It is my main props and through it, I can get good grades of chemistry and biology. second, you can see the big name, THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY, whenever I see it, I usually feel proud, and I feel I fill with a lot of power!

9. counter-Because of my major, I need to bring the counter every day. I like math. So, I enjoy using the counter. I think it is really capacity and can satisfy all the arithmetic which I need. On the screen, you can see the number of this art edu class-2520! I love this class! Certainly, it gives me a lot of help in maths and chemistry.
